                    Frequently Asked Questions

This is probably a very confusing time in your life right now. You or someone you are close to has ended up in jail and needs to be released as soon as possible. Some of the questions you are asking yourself right now have been asked hundreds of times before. Here are some of the most common questions that we are asked. If your questions aren't answered here, please call us at any time to get more information about how we can help you or your loved ones.

Q.    My __________ was just arrested. Can I get _________ released?

A.    In most cases YES. The law allows everyone the right to bail. Possible exceptions would be if the defendant is a fugitive from justice or a parole violator, or if the accused is charged with an offense punishable by the death penalty or life in prison. A Bond cannot be issued where warrants are for non payment of child support or conditions of probation.

Q.    I do not have the type of cash that the bail is set at. What do I do?

A.    An alternative to posting your own bail is a Bail Bond or Surety Bond. Bail guarantees to the Court the defendants' appearances at all his scheduled court events. The process starts as a contractual undertaking by an admitted insurance company guaranteeing the face value of the bond. The Bail Agents guarantee is made through the insurance company that they will pay the bond forfeiture if the defendant fails to appear for any of their scheduled court events.
Before we can post a bail bond, we need a family member(s) or a friend(s) to assure us that the defendant will appear at all his court dates. This is done through an Indemnity Agreement securing the bail bond transaction. This is because the bond we issue, guarantees the court that the defendant will appear whenever ordered, up until sentencing or final disposition of the case.
A quick interview will help us determine whether the signature and promise of the guarantor or co-signer will be sufficient to secure the bond. Obviously, for a large bail or a criminal charge with severe consequence, the indemnitor(s) will need to secure the bond with property or other collateral.
